With fall weather making an appearance, just a friendly reminder to treat your wrists and hands kindly while doing your fall yard clean-up. Arthritic joints tend to do best with activity pacing – a happy balance of rest mixed with activity.

If you are pushing hard to get things done and you are noticing pain, take a break with ice or heat.

Avoid the stress ball so you don’t further over-work your hands. Better yet, break up the heavy, physical tasks with some lighter ones.

If you continue to have problems, feel free to contact us in the clinic to discuss an appointment and some other management options.
