With fall weather making an appearance, just a friendly reminder to treat your wrists and hands kindly while doing your fall yard clean-up. Arthritic joints tend to do best with activity pacing – a happy balance of rest mixed with activity.
If you are pushing hard to get things done and you are noticing pain, take a break with ice or heat.
Avoid the stress ball so you don’t further over-work your hands. Better yet, break up the heavy, physical tasks with some lighter ones.
